I think we all have great ideas towards our project we decide to do. I'm excited to see the Noble girls against boys soccer game. Even though I'm not in that group it sounds like a great idea. I'm excited for my group as well. I can't wait to present to the sixth graders and teach them new lessons about Racism and Hate.

Howdy it's Jonathan. This unit has been very fun and we are going to help out many people by doing these projects. It's been fun doing a project for a cause that you really wan't to help.

I like peace jam so far. The actual planning the project with our groups has been the funnest part for me. I like how we an pick any project and who we donate the money to. Hopefully our game will have a large turnout and we can donate a lot of supplies and money to Save the Children for the haitian people.

I am really having fun doing this project. We have had really great ideas to help people around the world. For our projects we are trying to help get equal access to water for people in need.

I really enjoy peacejam so far! I cant wait until we donate all of our money to the cancer society. I think that peacejam has really helped me work easier as a team. The Dalai Lama was really interesting to me and kind of inspired me to use no violence and be peaceful. I love working with my group and knowing that i am helping people in need.

So far Peace Jam has been really fun, doing all the fun activities and learning all about the Peace Jam luareates. In my group for equal access to water we are going to do a fundraiser to raise money for people in Africa. I was also really suprised to learn that every 15 seconds a kid dies do to dirty water.

I think that Peace Jam is a very fun way to learn about the Nobel Peace Prize and the laureates. This unit gives us a chance to learn and interact with our classmates. The Global Call to Action is a great way to learn and do something for our community. My group is learning about Restoring the Earth's Enviornment, we are going to help our school and community by planting flowers and having a fun Pie Day that all the students can participate in.

Peace jam has taught me many things so far. It has taught me about different Nobel Peace Prize winners, like Desmond Tutu. I found it interesting that each winner had their own call to action. I'm glad I chose defending women and children's rights as my call to action. Each member of my group feels very strongly about that subject and that's why our group works so well together. I hope our project, a spring goods drive supporting the Domestic Violence Shelter, will be a huge success!

Hey guys! I think that is just great that i can help people in Africa. I always wanted to help people in another country. My group is doing equal access to water and we are raising money. the money will go to building wells. I like learning about the peace lauretes also!

Hey this is James Alan. So far I have enjoyed doing peacejam. It's fun coming up with ideas that end up actually helping people in need. My group is going to make an informational video and have a fundraiser too. So far my favorite part of peacejam has been learning about Gandhi. I don't get how someone can get attacked by countries so much and remain peacful. Learning about Gandhi has inspired me to be a little more peaceful.

Before this Peace Jam unit, I didn't know very much about the nobel peace prize. Now that we've been learning about the nobel peace prize and it's winners, I realize that many people all over the world are standing up for different issues that need to be solved. I think it was interesting to learn about the Dalai Llama because the way he lived his life was unlike the way many other people choose to live their lives. I liked how he said that the group of people he couldn't get along with were his greatest teachers because usually if you don't get along with someone, then you don't say that they have helped you in your life. I admire the way he looks at things and chooses to try and solve the issues that are important to him.

Hello Friends, it's Katie! I am excited for my Restoring the Earth's Environment group's beach sweep! I hope to see some of you come out and help us to clean up Wrightsville Beach.

I really liked learning about the Dalai Lama. Its amazing how he can be peaceful after all that china did to him. I would really hate to have to live in exile from my country when I was the leader of my country. It would just be really weird to lead a country that you can't even live in.

Peace Jam has a lot of positives in it, but there are also some negatives. Some of the positives include the fact that you feel like your doing something productive through your Global Call to Action project. But one of the negatives could also be the projects, if you look at the projects goals from a realist point of view it's kind of one sided and there isn't much chance that it will succeed. Even then it's good that we're trying even with there being almost no chance of success (In my opinion).

Hi!! It's Clara, and so far I've really enjoyed PeaceJam. I think that it is really interesting to learn about the Nobel Peace Laureates and all the struggles they had to go through to get to the place that they are in. Most of them had a very tough childhood, but they learned from that to help those affected not have to live with the issue. I also like the Service Learning part of the project, also. I like being able to help people effected by a problem that I am interested in too. A few of my favorite Laureates I've learned about are the Dalai Lama; I think it is amazing that he became leader at the age of 15! Also, I enjoyed learning about Jody Williams because it is awesome that she has done so much to help the world, and her turning point was when her brother was bullying-I especially like her trying to ban land mines!!

I think that Mahatma Ghandi should have won the Nobel Peace Prize. I don't see why he didn't. He was one of the most insporational peaople of all time.

Hi! So far I think that the Peace Jam Unit has been really fun, and rewarding. I think that this project is helping develop problem solving skills, like when our project didn’t work out. Even though it didn’t work I learned that it is good to try. My favorite part so far has been learning about the Dalai Lama. I enjoyed learning about him because he was basically a kid when he became the Dalai Lama. I also enjoyed writing the letters to the different organizations. It also helps to community know that teenagers do care. So many people think that we are all troublemakers who are creating the world’s problems. Now we can show that we aren’t troublemakers and that we can care about things.

I wasn't so sure about the peacejam unit when we first started. When i heard how long it was going to take, i was even less sure. But now that we are getting into our global call to action, i'm starting to enjoy it more. I also like learning about the laureates. I really like learning about the women from Northern Ireland.

I think that PeaceJam can be really hard, but fun sometimes. We all have good ideas, and we can all help our groups. I think that our Peace Jam projects will help our community, and help people realize that anyone can make a difference, even if you do just the little things.
